First of all, thanks to everyone for a great meeting today. It was messy, but I think everyone had fun!
Second, it sounds like the consensus is to go with the Wehr Center event on Sunday and Ice Skating on 2/2. So, please everyone let me know who wants to attend each! On Sunday, based on what I've heard so far, a start time around 12:30 would work well. As always, parents can come, or we can bring some girls together. Kathleen and I have two cars available, we could handle a few!
Third, we now have 4 girls (out of 18, so almost a quarter!) that have dance on Wednesdays and need to get ready and leave early. To make things easier and more inclusive for all the girls, I'd like to talk about moving the meeting day to Mondays. I'll check the school calendar to make sure it isn't a major conflict, but would anyone have trouble if we switched the meeting to the last Monday that school is in session each month?
Thanks for all your input!

All sorts of news!
I have all sorts of news for you.
First: We're official! We have a troop number now (#8035) hooray! That also means that everyone who turned in paperwork is also registered and officially a Girl Scout. I do have the rest of the paperwork in my own hands now, so if you didn't do the registration paperwork, I'll have it at the meeting on Wednesday for you to fill out. I'll also have information on Daisy Scout smocks patches and vests, Girl Scout Guides, and how to get them if you want them.
Second: There are a lot of events listed on the schedule for the next couple weeks. Let me know how you feel about them. The big days are:
Sunday when we can choose between Winterfest at the Wehr Center, and a Jazz concert at the Pabst auditorium. I don't need to preregister for either of these so it's not incredibly pressing to make a decision immediately.
And Thursday when we can choose between Girl Scout day at the Pleasant Prairie RecPlex, and Girl Scout Ice-Skating day the the Petit Center. We ought to choose between these as quickly as we can since I'd need to register us.
I'll mention these when you pick your girl up from the meeting Wednesday too.
Third: A couple parents have asked about selling Girl Scout cookies. We're going to be sitting this year's sale out. But we'll be in it next year, so get your cookie-eating muscles ready!
Once again, thanks for being a part of Girl Scouts! We'll see you Wednesday!
