Another Great Girl Scout Time!
There are a handful of events in April. Unfortunately when I checked the registration deadline for the Little House on the Prairie Days, they had been closed since November. The rest of the events don't have to worry about registration deadlines until April 10th at the earliest, and most don't require pre-registration at all. If there are any that really jump out at you, let me know, and we'll make those a priority.
Thanks again,
Aleks

Girl Scout 100th Anniversary Celebration
Hello again!
First, thanks to the families that joined us at the Petit Center tonight. It looked like everyone was having some fun. (And not falling too much either!)
Second, the big news out of Girl Scout HQ is the 100th anniversary celebration, "Rock the Ice" event Saturday March 10th. Our girls were lucky to start in Girl Scouts just as Girl Scouting is turning 100 years old. In Milwaukee they're holding a big event to commemorate the occasion at the Bradley Center. ( https://www.gswise.org/Events-and-Activities/100th-Anniversary-Activities/Rock-the-Ice.aspx ). We need to register before February 11th, and if the people going want to be seated together, we need to register together. There's a lot more information at the link above.
Registration is $15.00 per person, but includes a 100th anniversary backpack and patch for the girls, and admission to the Milwaukee Admirals vs. Rockford Ice Hogs hockey game too. Events will be running from 2:30 all the way until the Hockey Game which starts at 7:00.
If you're interested in going and want to get registered, tell me ASAP.
As always, appreciatively yours,
Aleks

A couple quick updates
Thanks to everyone who brought their girls to Winterfest at the Wehr center! It sounds like the girls had a good time. I have "Winter Fun" badges for the girls that were there. I'll bring them to the next meeting.
1) After talking to the parents whose girls are in the dance class on Wednesdays, it turns out there's only one more dance class conflict, so we'll keep the schedule the same--the last Wednesday of the month that school is in session.
2) The Owl Prowl at the Todd Wehr center, that was listed on the schedule for Saturday 7-9:00 P.M. is actually Friday (2/3) 7-9:00 P.M. After talking to the folks at Wehr, it sounds like the event is geared more towards older kids, so we may want to sit this one out.
3) As always, if anyone has ideas for things for the girls to do together, let me know and I'll pass word along. The girls are all great friends, and enjoy the outings!
Thanks again,
Aleks Skibicki
