Hi everyone!
What fun at Old World Wisconsin this weekend, and what great weather. Thanks again to all the drivers who helped out both with transportation and at the event.
Meetings are coming up this week and next. If you haven't signed up yet, you can do so here:
Here's who I'm expecting to the meeting at Highland View this Thursday:

Evie S.
Also, here's something to help you understand the girls better--I find it pretty encouraging.
For the last coule months, one of our activities has been to pick a Troop Crest, or a symbol that we think represents the girls of our troop. We started with over 20 different choices offered by Girl Scouts (the Crests all have a history in scouting, some going right back 100+ years to when Girl Scouts started.)
We eventually narrowed it down to 4 choices. To choose the one that best fit the troop, we took the 2 concepts that each crest represented and asked the girls to rank those 8 concepts based on how they related to the girl herself. The girls didn't know which symbol went with the concepts, they just ranked the 8 from "most like me" to "least like me." I thought it was interesting to see which concepts came out ahead, and wanted to share with you how the girls ranked themselves. (The ballots were anonymous, so I can't say how any specific girl ranked the choices, just how the girls in the troop overall see themselves.) Note: these were already distilled to the top 8, so the "losing" qualities here are still ones the girls generally see in themselves, just not as much as the "winners." Without further ado then, here's how our girls see themselves:
#1) Creative
#2) Energetic
#3) Strong
#4) Healthy
#5) Beautiful
#6) Graceful
#7) Inspired
#8) Surprising
See you at the meetings!
Aleks
