Girl Scouts: Just a couple reminders

Hello scouts!

Just a couple updates and reminders for everyone:

1)  First and foremost, don't forget the Thursday Meeting Change this month.  The Thursday meeting is 3/12 (so in two days) so we can meet Molly Reddy, a returning Peace Corps volunteer, and former girl scout, who created and worked with several youth organizations in Paraguay for two years.  The Wednesday meeting is unchanged, so is still 3/18, 3:30-5:00.

We will be meeting in room 213 (Mrs. Weber's room) at the usual time--after school until 5:00.

2)  A troop robotics tradition continues!  For the last couple years some of our girls have visited the FIRST Robotics competition held downtown--and they've had a great great time.  In addition to watching robots battle it out in some pretty crazy games, the girls can go "behind the scenes" and meet the robot builders from high schools in the area and see the robots up close and personal. Even better, there's no admission fee, so the event is completely free!

While I had originally scheduled the FIRST Robotics competition visit for 3/21 (Saturday) the competition will actually also be running on the 20th during the day, and our girls have off of school that day!  Because Evie has her State Swim meet on 3/21, and because I would love to go along to the competition again, is anyone interested in having their scout go on Friday during the day?  We have room for up to 5 total scouts in our van (Evie + 4 more), for sure, but if we can arrange a carpool we can figure out a way to bring more!

If anyone is interested in going and can only make the 21st, of course let me know and we can arrange a group on Saturday too!
