Girl Scouts: Sad news and glad news!

Hi everyone!

First the sad news:  The Girl Scout picnic that got rained out last weekend, was canceled when the venue was booked up at all reschedule dates.  Which is sad, BUT...

Then the glad news!

Glad news #1)  We will have our own Girl Scout picnic for the troop in Scout Lake Park which we'll combine with a Walking Path Audit day for the paths around Scout Lake.  Date is TBA, so keep your eyes and ears open.

Glad news #2)  Apparently the girls were pretty memorable at School's Out doing their bike safety booth.  The Greendale Health Department is doing a bike decorating/helmet fitting event on July 3rd from 4-6 and they asked us if we'd be interested in bringing the Bike Safety booth stuff there (coloring, trivia, checklists, etc.)  Who can come?

Glad news #3)  4th Of July Parade!  For the 7th (8th?) year our scouts are marching in the Greendale 4th of July Parade!  The parade runs from 10:00-12:00 (staging before that between 9:00-10:00)  Who can come?  Please let me know so I have an idea of how much candy to stockpile!

Glad news #4)  Girl Scout Old World Wisconsin 2018!  We'll try to make this one August 4th, so lock in that date.  We'll leave Greendale around 9:00, and plan to be back in Greendale at 5:00.  That day is the start of their "Heirloom Garden Extravaganza" which focuses on old time gardening, cooking, and eating, so I think it'll be something our girls will like a TON!  I'll get more details an an attendance list as the event gets closer.

Glad News #5)  Last one for now!  August 25th is Scout Day at the Bristol Renaissance Faire, so let's lock that in too.  We usually spend all day, so plan to leave Greendale around 10:00AM, and be back in Greendale around 7:00PM.  We can do more detals as the day gets closer.

Keep scouting!  See you soon!

Aleks
