Girl Scouts: Cookie Stuff, Meeting Recap, International Fair Info

Hi everyone,

Just some loose ends to wrap up!

First:  Cookies!  I received additional cookie orders this week from Kahlen, Katie, Liliana, and Portia--did I miss anyone?   I will be getting those cookies from Girl Scouts tomorrow, and dropping them at Bonnie's garage that afternoon.  She shared her available times below.  (Just because she's home doesn't mean she's available for cookie pick up--we're trying to make this as easy as possible!)  It would also probably be a good idea to call before heading over for a cookie pick up.   If you are picking up an order and don't have Bonnie's number, let me know and I'll get that to you so you can reach out and connect on when you'll arrive.

    Sunday Night 600-900 pm

    Tues night 400-500 pm or 730-900 pm

    Wed night 800-900 pm

    Fri night 415-515 or 800-930 pm

Second:  The meeting!  So much fun again!  We played a little game of competitive cooking.  In groups the girls made a smoothie, and a salad, and they competed with the other groups to see whose cuisine reigned supreme!  The girls came up with some very neat ideas, but the important thing was that they tried new things, and experimented some beyond what they were usually used to.  It was also another great opportunity for them to see that they can do a lot for themselves, and are very capable young women.

Third:  International Faire--if you are one of the families going:  Michelle Persike (Kendra's mom) is our Troop Leader for the night, so look for her and Kendra when you get to Whitnall Middle School.  Also, just a reminder--try to arrive at 6:00 and not the 6:15 I had said originally.  I'm giving Michelle the display, flags, SWAPS, treat, passport stamps, and craft stuff, but she could use the extra hands to set up!

Fourth:  We didn't get to share Earth Day ideas at the meeting, so we'll do that inbetween times.  If you could send me ideas your scout discovered, I'll make a Google Doc with the info and the girls can share their impressions and votes for what we should do right there online.
