Girl Scouts: International Fair updates and a chance to earn your World Thinking Badge even if you can't go!

Hi everyone!

We got a LOT done today--thanks girls!  But there are still a few things left to do.

First though, a small update--I'd been telling everyone that we should arrive 6:15-ish for the event to start at 6:30.  It sounds more like we should be there at 6:00 to have everything set up.

And we have some good things to set up:

1)  We have a paper cutting craft--"Double Happiness" chinese paper symbols
2)  We have a treat--Chinese fruit jelly cups
3)  We have SWAPS ( Special Whatchamacallits Affectionately Pinned Somewhere ) of Chinese lucky money-attracting charms.
4)  We have flags for China, and Hong Kong, and Taiwan--the story of Chinese Girl scouts is interesting and confusing!
5)  We DO NOT have a display board though.  Our research team today had a hard time researching information about China and scouts in it.

Which is where the help from the girls comes from.  I've made a sign up page with research topics.  What we need before Friday is for girls to research these topics and share a 1-page google doc/slide/presentation with me to print up and put on our display board.  I'll do the gluing and arranging, but the girls need to do the research!

Here's the link to the research areas.  Anyone can do one, whether you're coming to the event or not.  And anyone that does gets counted as having earned the World Thinking Day 2018 badge.

Here's the link for that:

Thanks so much everyone!  This is going to be awesome!
