Two Updates!

Hi everyone!

Just a couple updates.

First:  Thanks to the girls who helped at Clean and Green!  I let your schools know what you did, and they were super proud of you.  And the seniors whose yards you helped get ready for summer were incredibly appreciative!

Second:  Park Cleanup change:  We were originally scheduled to do a park cleanup with the Greendale DPW and Health Department on May 8th before Pet-Palooza, but they've rescheduled that to May 22nd 9AM-11AM

Third:  I have cookie sale prizes in hand now.  So Ava, Carrie, Colette, Ellen, Katie, and Quinn:  let me know when is good to pick up and we'll work something out!

Oops! Sorry scout families!

Oops!  I forgot that the email I reply-all-ed to was an email to the robotics team and Girl Scouts. Sorry for the spam!

(It's still cool news though!)

Hi everyone!

It's great to hear that a bunch of you can come clean and green with us this Sunday!

We have 4 appointments set up through the day.  I'll get the addresses out soon.  I figure we can all meet at the first house, but after that, between Kathleen and I we should have enough car space to haul everyone from place to place.

We'll do lunch either at the end or in the middle depending on how busy we are.  No need to pack your own, the troop will take the girls out for something!

One important question though:  Would anyone be able to keep rolling past 2:00?  We have one appointment right at the end of the original planned block, and it would be great if we can get everything done in the one day!

Thanks everyone, see you Sunday!

Hi everyone!

A couple quick notes:

1)  So far, the only idea for a troop activity in April is to do an escape room--which is great because it sounds like a lot of fun!  And it also sounds like there's a room that can hold up to 8 people which would be just the right number for us.  I'll look into scheduling something.  (Colette:  Email me and we'll get details about the place you found.)

2)  HOWEVER, our Clean and Green Volunteer Project has snuck up on us again.  I'm talking to some of the seniors who asked GMS for yard clean up help, and will schedule some appointments 10:00-2:00 on Sunday (4/18).  We'll bring members of the robot team again. Which scouts would be available to help some seniors in Greendale get their yards ready for spring?

3)  Pet Palooza and Park Cleanup:  I need to know who will be joining us for PetPalooza (11-2:00) and Park Clean Up (9-11:00) on May 8th.  The troop will cover lunch!  And I'm still looking for ideas of crafty pet-toys we could have kids make at our booth there.  Anyone?

Thanks for your quick replies!

Aleks

Hi everyone!

Some updates, and a quest for ideas!

#1)  May 8th-SAVE THE DATE!

We've been asked to join in a couple projects on May 8th:

Park Clean Up:  9:00-11:00 with Greendale DPW (they helped us a lot on our Walking Paths Silver Award project!) more details to follow.
Pet-Palooza:  11:00-3:00 Downtown Greendale.  The village asked us to participate, and left our level of participation up to us.  Does anyone have ideas of what we could do?  Something like making a dog or cat toy craft? (Does anyone have ideas of cheap/easy to make dog/cat toys?)

#2)  April Fun Idea?

Anyone have an idea of a fun April thing to do?  Feel free to reply-all so we can start a discussion!  It's your troop-I love to do your ideas!

#3)  A few cookies left if anyone asks you!  If anyone still wants cookies, we have a few leftovers.  Here's the list:

7 Thin Mint
12 Caramel Delite
6 Gluten Free
4 Smores
6 Shortbread
4 Peanut Butter Sandwich
11 Toast Yay
10 Peanut Butter Patty
4 Lemonade
