Re: Girl Scouts - Awesome BONUS opportunity Feb 5th Admirals Cookie Rally - Zamboni and Ship Ride Drawings

Carrie will go, but she is okay passing the ride on to one of the other girls.  That sounds like so much fun!

Hi!

So for the girls helping on February 5th, how would yhou like to ride the zomboni/pirate ship during the Admirals game after the rally?

Two Girl Scouts will get the chance, chosen randomly from any helpers that fill out the form (there's more than just our troop, so there's no guaranty anyone from our troop would get in)

See the email below.  The deadline to enter in Jan 25th.

FYI:  For helpers I have:

Quinn
Ava
Katie
Evie (Not Admirals game.)
Carrie

Is that still good?  Scouts is expecting 4-5 Scouts and me.  I can probably get an extra approved, but don't knwo if I can get an extra ticket to the Admirals Game though.  I can give rides to and from the event.  I just heard it'll be even easier than expected--we don't have to arrive until 2:00!  (I think before I had said 12:00 or 1:00)

Hope all is well, and have a great weekend!

Aleks

Hello,

Thanks again for expressing interest in volunteering for our Cookie Rally with the Admirals! Your troop/family has been assigned to support this event, I will be following up with specific assignments and further confirmation details hopefully by the end of this week. But in the meantime, I wanted to reach out to let you know that two lucky Girl Scouts will be selected to ride the Zamboni and Ship during the game and we've decided to choose these two Girl Scouts from our pool of teen Program Aides supporting the event! Please forward this email to all the Girl Scouts in your group helping at the event, so that if they are interested in this opportunity, they can submit their name for the drawing(s). Deadline to enter the drawing is Tuesday, January 25, and here's the link to enter the drawing: https://form.jotform.com/220184550058047

If you have any questions let me know, otherwise, I'll be in touch soon with final details for event volunteers.

Thanks!

Fw: Girl Scouts-Admirals Cookie Rally

Hi everyone!

Two things!

#1)  Has anyone had luck reaching out to potential emergency first aid teachers?  We can get that going whenever you're ready!

#2)  The Cookie Rally downtown on February 5th that we're signed up to volunteer at reached out to us, to see if we're brave enough to handle a NEW station:

"You are receiving this email because you indicated that your troop is interested in volunteering for the pre-game Cookie Rally with the Milwaukee Admirals. Volunteer interest has been overwhelming, we thank you so much for your interest! At this time we are still working out final stations and volunteer needs before we can start making assignments, I will follow up with everyone as soon as I have more information. However, in the meantime, we are looking for a special group of Girl Scouts to help facilitate one of our new stations where you will act out skits with lots of cooking selling mistakes in the skit and the guests attending the event will try to point out what all the mistakes are (such as telling a customer your home address, we should never do that). If this is a station that your troop is interested, and you have girls that LOVE theatre and acting and putting on a show for others (we want girls helping with this station to be comfortable), please let me know. Don't worry if you're a small troop attending to help, we can pair a few troops together to help facilitate this station."

What do you think?

For the girls attending, would you be up for doing "Bad Cookie Selling" skits for younger girls, or should they put you at a different station with a simple game or something?

(Also, please reconfirm your attendance!  It's February 5, approximately 1:00-6:00, with the option to stay for the Admirals game afterward if you want.)

Thanks!

Aleks

Hi everyone!

With 2 minutes to spare, the girls managed to complete their underwater casino heist!  Congratulations!

Afterwards, during our eating-meeting, the girls came up with ideas for February and March for us:  Kindness Rocks/Park Cleanup, and learning emergency first aid.

They're working on reaching out to community contacts to find someone to teach us emergency first aid.   If you know someone that might be willing to work with us and teach us some first aid skills, that would be helpful too!  We'll schedule a date to paint kindness rocks, and then later to do some community cleanup.

Happy New Year!  Hope this year is healthy, and safe,

Aleks
