Hi everyone!

Let's shoot for Monday 1/18.  You can either meet at our house at 5:30, or at the Rock at 5:45.  We'll plan to tube from 6:00-8:00.

I'll need a firm headcount ASAP so I can preorder tickets, and I'll send you the link to the waiver.

Katie had a great idea about a possible ice skating time too.  Will anyone volunteer to check out the various skating rinks around and see what's open?

Wilson Park
Pettit
Eble

Any others?

And maybe can someone else check any rules on ice-skating on the county park "lakes" to see if that's a better option?

Thanks and see you 1/18!

Aleks

Hi again!

Just a few (AWESOME) things today!

1) Thanks to the scouts that joined in the robotics meeting last week. It was great practice for the robotics team and hopefully fun for you too.

2). With the snow, it looks like our yard-raking days are done for now. BUT if you know a senior near you that could use snow removal help some times this winter, let me know and I'll see if we can rustle up a group to help.

3). Winter fun?  Anyone up for tubing at the Rock?  I know some of you are!  We'd be looking at probably a Monday evening in January—would that work?

4). Other Winter fun?  Any other ideas for Winter Activities?  Remember:  you girls run the show, so if you have an idea, reply-all to share it, and we'll see how to make it happen!

Happy New Year!

Aleks

First:  great work cleaning yards today. The seniors we helped were so grateful!   (Pictures attached.)

Would anyone be available Monday from 5:00-5:40 for a short zoom meeting?

Please let me know ASAP so I can drop off the meeting supplies by you for the craft part of the meeting.

Good idea! I wonder if the rinks are open. If not, we could do outdoor at one of the parks with a lagoon when it's frozen enough—maybe even scout lake if it freezes deep enough again.

Subject: AND ANOTHER ONE!

I'm so glad you girls wanted to do this project!  So are the seniors we'll be helping.

I'm going to stop calling now, because I think the two appointments are solid for the number of girls we might have available. Also two of the women said their yards were all taken care of already.

Here's Appointment #2:

Sunday 10:00AM
Ruth Perry
5709 Carnation Ct.
Greendale, WI

What we'll do is two hours here, and then 2 hours at Maryann's house. So we'll be busy from 10:00-2:00.

I imagine 1-2 hours of work time.

Who will be there?

Aleks

Re: Girl Scouts: Clean and Green Appointment SUNDAY!

That's ok. You did good work getting the info from mrs. Burish and getting things started.

P.S. Two more...

Hi again,

Two more notes:

#1)  Write as many notes as you can.  You don't have to stop at one!  I'd love to give Mr. Lodes a stack of 10-20 to pass along.

#2)  Don't forget to get out there and do some cleaning--see the information below:

Bored inside?

Don't forget about the Green Corners Clean Up Contest!

There's a whole word outside, and it needs YOU to clean it up!  And if you do some cleaning before December 21st, and log it here:  https://forms.gle/hgSDgvKGhQ5iy4Vq8 , not only will you get a fun patch, but the troop with the highest per-girl cleaning average will win $5 Girl Scout Gift Cards for everyone from the troop that participated!

There's not much time left in the Green Corners Clean Up Contest--and who knows how many days we'll have like this--so let's get out there and make Green Corners a better place!

Sincerely,

Green Corners Service Area 134
