Troop 8035/8036 2015-2016 Schedule
Notes:
I tried to set to up so there was at least one event each month and one meeting, but as you can see, sometimes there were too many to pass up!
If you know of other events that fit in, this schedule is not set in stone and I’m always looking for new and fun opportunities for the girls, so just pass word along. I feel like I’ve forgotten some suggestions folks have made over the years, so if you don’t see something you told me about, please re-tell me and we’ll figure out how to make it happen.
Also, there are a couple different overnight events. There’s no need to go to all of them. I had hoped they would be different enough that a girl could do all of them if she wanted, but also so that girls with different interests could all find something that would “fit.”
Remember:
1) All events are optional
2) If the fee would cause you to be unable to attend an event, just let me know and the troop will cover it with no questions asked or tales told. We want everyone to have all the great experiences they can.
3) Please give me a list of what events you want to go to ASAP and try to block those out on your calendar too. If you HAVE to cancel, please let me know as far ahead of time as you can so I can hopefully try to find someone to take your place. (Or, better yet, find someone to take your spot and save me the work and worry!)
Meetings will be help in Room 103 (Mrs Bushman’s room) at Highland View and in the Spanish room when they're at College Park.

Join us as we learn valuable camping skills, enjoy games and meeting girls from other troops from our area. We’ll tie dye shirts, and enjoy s’mores at Camp Silverbrook in West bend. Fees include all meals, t-shirt, patch, and activities.

Join us for an always spooky, sometimes scary, rain-or-shine event as we celebrate the immigrant legends we brought with us and the folklore we created here at home. Halloween Legends and Lore features the folk and fairytales of the Old World as well as Wisconsin ghost stories from the 19th and early 20th centuries.

A crime has been committed at Discovery World and we need your help to figure out who did it! Become a detective as you learn how to decode messages, identify fingerprints, and use microscopes to analyze hair samples left at the scene. Gather evidence from the crime scene and see if you can solve the mystery!

Come experience Discovery World’s interactive exhibits after dark! Enjoy spending time at Discovery World, and then participate in a hands-on lab exploring your taste buds and learning about innovations meant to fool your senses. End the night watching a movie in our theatres wake up to a sunrise over Lake Michigan.

Kenosha Civil War Museum
Spend the night during the Civil War era! “Meet” women from the Civil War era, play games, make and eat food, and create jewelry. The overnight includes a living history event that the girls bring to life! An evening snack and Saturday morning breakfast are included.

We bring the Little House on the Prairie books to life! Experience life like Laura or Almanzo Wilder. Explore a log cabin like the one that Laura and her family lived in. Help make and taste butter and cornbread like Laura and Mary made. Make a craft from one of Laura's books and play games that Laura and Almanzo played.

Break out your green thumb as you make improvements to keep our earth green. Create your own green gear, explore how to save our earth and get dirty while making the world a little greener. Learn what you can do to make eco-action happen in your community.
